KAM Engineering (the acronym stands for Knee Agricultural Machinery) was founded by John Knee in 1958, originally as an importer of agricultural machinery.
Since 1964 a manufacturer of agricultural machinery the company, has evolved into a subcontract fabrication facility and manufacturer of engineered parts and components for a vast array of industrial applications.
KAM Engineering serves clients in all industrial sectors both locally in west Wiltshire, nationally and even internationally, undertaking mainly volume production projects – although we do take on small, one-off jobs by special request.
Our clients appreciate our commitment to quality workmanship, and our willingness to seek affordable, cost-effective solutions for their fabrication requirements. We pride ourselves on our problem-solving skills.
Our qualified and experienced staff numbers around 25 full-timers, all working efficiently and enthusiastically in various specialist roles designing, engineering and fabricating products to order.
We have developed a close relationship with a network of hand-picked sub-contractors who we can call on for professional finishing work when necessary.
This means our clients can leave their product development and realisation in our hands, from concept to finish, and don’t have to shop around for the skills required for completion.
Our company ethos is to deliver high quality in all aspects of the business, and we seldom turn down a challenge. We’ll go so far as to invest in new machinery/equipment if necessary, for the right contract.
We are accredited with the BS EN 1090 certification for structural steel. This requires that all structural and construction steel items and fixings we produce for permanent installation must adhere to various set standards and bear the specified CE marking.
